TECNiA takes our environment seriously and strives to find new ways to reduce the load we put on the environment. Here are some of the areas we presently working toward:
- Conserving energy using energy saving lights; turning PC's, monitors and printers off when not in use
- Minimising water consumption using short flush toilets and reusing gray water where possible
- Ensuring our business stationery is printed on recycled paper or sourced from sustainable forests
- Ensuring all waste generated is recycled in a responsible and appropriate manner
- Using public transport and car sharing where possible
- Growing plants in the office to combat and remove CO2 from the atmosphere
- Using eco friendly cleaning materials
- Purchasing tea, coffee, drinks and food from fair-trade and / or organic sources
- Purchasing energy from companies that source and invest in alternative, renewable energy
- Turning down the heating in the winter and wear a jumper when its cold
- Opening a window when its hot and not rely on energy hungry air conditioners
We only have one planet and one life upon it.
